Event Update!
Everything is now on course for this thursdays
event.
wrote: | The UK DK film that is be screened on the night is probably the bands last gig in the home town
and in fact bares testimony to those tumultuous times. Many now 'decent' middle aged folk
may be able to spot themselves brandishing punk hairstyles and clothes or perhaps twirling
their 'legendary Luton-Belts' in the 'Mosh pit'. This was a classic 'Hometown' UK Decay gig and
was staged at the Stuart Street flyover complete with a punch-up in the crowd and arrests, amidst
the anarchy, the band played on and ended the day with an upbeat encore.
However the following weeks Luton News (I think...I guess it could have been the 'Evening Post'..
will have to check the micro fish records...1 week after May bank Holiday 1982) blamed the
band for enticing the trouble in its headlines. UK Decay were then banned from playing in Luton.
The band of course were completely innocent of these accusations as can be shown in the film.

The line up has now been comfirmed and although there are no advance
tickets on sale we are taking online reservations and if you want to be
certain of gaining entry please email me at....
werewolf@ukdecay.co.uk
DJ Dirg has been added to the line-up playing a selection
'from the Dammed to Discharge'
There is a numbers limit of around 250...at the moment it is by means
certain of what kind of numbers are expected..a couple of hundred would
be nice...to make back our costs on the night!
There is a lot of 'background noise' so we are looking forward to a
fantastic night!
Final invitations have now been been sent out to former members of the
band..we shall have to wait and see!
A final program of events will be posted tommorrow night..
"Its looking good...."

Final Preparations are going ahead
Everything seems to be largely in place for tommorrow night
apart from a few technical and logistical things that will be
dealt with on the day.
There is the late addition of Andy 'Attic'
and DJ Dreg which adds to Nick 'Switch'
and Dr. Jon Crayz Fish on the DJ front
Steve Spon will be overseeing the nights entertainment
and will be making occassional announcements.
The first Band on Stage will be Dead Girl on the Pavement (9.15pm)
Followed by Mojag and Thee Dirty Stooges
The UK Decay at Luton Carnival video will be shown around 12.15 AM
Mojag will also be playing their 'Sheol' video and projections
of over 150 Mojag-inspired images.
Invitations have been sent out to other former members of UK Decay
as well as scores of 'Faces' of the Class of 1979-1989 re-union!
So lets make this a great night to remmember!!
Here is a map of Luton town Centre
The train station (Luton Central) is slightly above the middle/top
and is ten minutes walk.
The Cork and Bull is situated in the south of Luton town centre,
down Park street by the crossroads with the traffic lights
If you are coming into town by car etc. best bet is to leave the
MI via junction 10 and take the J10 extension to the 1st roundabout.
On the first roundabout (signposted right towards Harpenden)
Ignore the road ahead directions for central Luton & Luton Airport
Instead turn Left past Golf course & Stockwood park..down big hill..
continue past 1 set of traffic lights until you get to a roundabout
with a 'Staples' wharehouse...Turn right..then 2nd left (about 150
metres from roundabout) that is Cumberland street.
There is only a small carpark here so you may have to park
nearby!
?Usefull phone numbers
Cork and Bull 01582 729586
UKDKcom info line 07904 211950
One more thing, there is a fire limit of 250 people in this venue.
To avoid dissapointment if you are planning to travel a distance
to get here, please email werewolf@ukdecay.co.uk
or use the infoline above to reserve entry tickets.
Doors open at 9pm it might be an idea for all to get there early!!
Let the Party Roll !!
'A night for Celebration
A night to Unwind....."
See you there
W.W.

What a fantastic Night!
"Class of 1979-1980 Reunion"
View Larger Image in the Gallery
Thursday 22nd December 2005
At the Cork and Bull, Luton, UK.
The Class of 1979-1980 Reunion party fired
of on thursday night with arrivals from
all over the country bringing a sense of anticipation.
Dead Girl on the Pavement, Thee Dirty Stooges
and Mojag provided to the live feast of music
whilst DJ Nick Switch and Dr.John Crazy fish fed us
with some of the finest Post-Punk proto-Goth platters.
Albeit with a few 'technical problems' and the
dissapointment of not being able to show the
screening of the UK DK at the Carnival Video.
(Apologies for that! a pin broke in the cable &
try as we might, we simply couldn't find a
replacement in time ...oops!)
Regardless of problems a very fine time was had by all.
There was an excellent vibe amidst the birthplace of the
Luton Punk-Scene and a pivotal moment was the
late arrival of one Edwin Branch AKA 'Twiggy' and his
beutifull daughters, which saw a re-union of 3 ex-members
of UK Decay.(Eddy Branch & Martin Smith and Steve Spon)
UK Decay Bass Players Annonymous!
On behalf of UK Decay Communities I would like to
thank all those that helped to make this a superb night
to remmember!

Special Thanks to Paul Walsh & the staff & Management
of the Cork and Bull and of course to all of you that
participated by being there.
There was talk of another event maybe around Easter 2006
I guess with honesty there is a few lessons that can been learnt
here on the positive most of the hiccups could have been avoided
but now we have a better 'template' for the next one.
One other thing, we did actually have a small amount of merchandise
that we intended to have available, unfortunately in the excitement
of the activities of the night we completely overlooked setting this
up. apologies again..another lesson for next time!
Anyway On behalf of UKDKCom I hope you have now sufficiently
recovered from your hangovers (we continued partying till 6am
hence this late posting) and I would like to wish you all the very best
of Seasonal Greetings.
Thanking You
W.W.
