Where is your old Leather Jacket?
carefully crafted 'Discharge' jacket..pic from the front cover of 'Burning Britain: The History Of UK Punk, 1980 - 1984

It was a style phenomena that coloured the streets of first the UK, quicklly followed by the rest of the world in the late 70's into the 80's.

It was cool to craft your leather jacket with all manner of studwork and decorations and to proudly portray the logo of your favourite Punk band's on the back! To begin with, such bands as 'Crass', 'Poison Girls' and 'Discharge' were the most common seen. By the halycon 'Post Punk' early 80's it was the turn of such bands as 'Killing Joke', 'Theatre of Hate' and yes of course our very own 'UK Decay'.

The question is...Where are all these jackets now?.
and ....Does anyone still have their prized jackets or at least a pic?

So if anyone out there wants to send us a digitized pic of their jacket, we will post them up!.
Obviouslly we would very much like to see 'UK Decay' jackets on the forum but we will be happy to post up any jacket from the period 1978 to 1985!
If you have a jacket take a pic of the back, digitize it and send it to

werewolf@ukdecay.co.uk

try keep the size down to no more than 300px wide and no more than 100k
with thanks to 'antoni' for the inspiration

Mine was yellow and I drowned in it at Glastonbury while tripping away. My mum sold it several years ago. I wished I still had it now but I doubt it would fit. I also wish I had that bike...

Love to Spon, to the Captain and to the Mighty Jay who came to see me yesterday. We talked for about 5 hours and many many memories came flooding back...sights, sounds and smells. Especially smells.

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Hi, That mystery pic of Daize outside the Town Hall was at a Poll Tax Demo - the leather jacket is still hanging up with all the family coats under the stairs - tho it has been a good few years since it was worn. I think the Darling Buds tee-shirt fell to bits!

think the anarchist punk gang was a popular design, i had many leather jackets, painted them and sold them, or got pulled to bits while jumping around at gigs. i have photos of some of them, sadly all gone.
