Yeah not been on for a while... been kinda busy (but I'll email you about that personally). I am seeing Ruth next Tuesday so will try my best to get her along.
I came on the site looking for when the bash would be this year, determined to make it. Even better idea to have it in January when the majority of the party season has passed. Cant wait to see you mate. |

Update! UKDK COM January 27th 2007 with Maps
update November 24th 2006
“Class of 1979 – 1989 Reunion II”
At the Hat factory,
Bute Street, Luton LU1 2EY
Saturday January 27th 2007
8pm - 1.30am
......................Basement one..........................................Basement Two.....................
Apologies for the delay in this update, there has been a host of problems
to deal with since the last update.
Anyway that over with, the latest news is that we have now booked an
adjoining area 'Basement 2' complete with tunnels and sofas! In this area,
there will be an oppurtunity to relax and view on a large screen rare
footage of UK Decay at the carnival in 1982 and at Dingwalls in 1981
with Lol on bass and with Abbo wearing that mask as seen on the Sounds
'Punk Gothique' article. There will also be selected footage shown from
UK Decay at Bowes Lyon in Stevenage which is significant as being Martin
'Segovia' Smith's last gig with the band! There will also be some
moments from the Friars Ayelsbury gig when the band supported
Killing Joke and some more 'Gothic mask wearing' moments from Berlin.
..........Basement One.......Bands will play here....................
Line up
‘The Adenoids’ contemporary Luton Punk Band!
‘Los Cyclones’ ‘60’s US garage punk’ (Blinks band from Leicester)
‘Jesus Christ Supercharger’ Ex-Partygirls, ‘Surf Punk’
Further band to be announced....
DJ’s, ‘Nick Switch’ (Switch Club) and ‘Nephilimbabe’ (The Coven),
Large screen screening of UK Decay at Luton Carnival!
other guests and activities to be announced..
Any other Luton/area Punk footage?
May I take this chance to put out a shout to anyone whom may have
video footage of any other of the Luton/area Punk-New Wave bands
from the late 70's and 80's, we would also love to hear from you and
to show this on the night!
We have already heard a rumour that Dan from 'The Party Girls' may
have some footage from the Party Girls supporting Bone Orchard at
the Luton Library Theatre gig C1984!
I know video cameras were a rare and expensive item back in the day,
but there is stuff out there!
If you do have any footage please note; we will have to get this digitized
and authored onto DVD before the night!
Please contact....
werewolf@ukdecay.co.uk
So lets see whats out there!
Tickets!
Yes we promised details on the October update and again apologise for
the delay in bringing this info to you But to all those that have emailed
ticket requests and that have posted in this thread, we have put all your
names on the list and as soon as we have the tickets available we shall
of course email you with the details. We are working out the logistics
with The Hat Factory and hope to have an online ticket booking system
in place within the next week or two.
The price is going to be around £7 a ticket (£5-concessions) as this is
going to be a little more expensive to run than the last years event.
However we are more than sure that this is going to be a night not to be
missed and great value for money!
UK Decay Merchandise
We shall be making UK Decay T-Shirts available on the night along with
a special edition UK Decay CD!
Anyone else who might have merchandise available and or who might
want to put up a stall on the night...please contact me
werewolf@ukdecay.co.uk
More info on this soon!
The Hat Factory is a non-smoking venue!
Please note, smoking is not allowed anywhere within the venue!
Like it or not, this is going to be in place everywhere later in the year!
There is however a nearby courtyard available for those who must
smoke! (including myself!)
The Hat Factory at night
Maps- Directions
The Hat Factory is in the centre of Luton, 2 minutes walk from the
railway station 30 seconds from the bus station and two minutes from the
Town Hall and Arndale!
There is a multistorey car park a minutes walk away, check the maps
below for details
Click for larger printer friendly version

(The large black arrow is the entrance to the car park!)
One further note,
Sadly UK Decay will not be actually playing at this event!
But ex members of the band will be attending, Spon has promised
that he will DJ in basement two some of his Nostramus work and like
last time it is hoped that Martin 'Segovia' Smith and Eddie 'Twiggy' Branch
will make an appearance. An Invitation will be sent out to Abbo, but as
he is a busy man these day's, it remains to be seen if he will turn up!
But you never know!
Please don't forget: All are welcome!

Hello, Werewolf
Yes we certainly do have a video of the Bone Orchard/Partygirls gig - which was at the library theatre. In fact I gave it to Dan ages ago to burn a DVD and as he is, basically, outstandingly lazy, I would be very much surprised if he's done anything with it yet. So I'll poke him with a sharp stick and hopefully have it done before the reunion.

Yes 'Dan the Man', recently witnessed at a recent Bob Brosman concert,
mentioned the 'BO-PG' video and 'promised' to try and get this together
ready for the 27th January.
If you could please use a 'blunt' stick instead of a sharp one!, we need him
for the show lol
But seriously, It would be real good to view this on the night, but in order
to do that, we shall need to have a copy of it preferably beforehand in order
to format it for the system we are using at the party.

Breaking news.....Dummy Run... comfirmed for party!
The fourth and final band is on the point of being comfirmed for
our January party.
Bedford's Dummy Run seems set to be the fourth and final
band booked for the evening bringing their brand of classic-punk-ska.
Their album has had rave reviews in the USA! You can check them out
for yourselves at their Myspace site
http://www.myspace.com/dummyrunpunx
I will bring further details in the next few days
Tickets
We are maintaining a list as requests are being recieved
As yet we have still not heard from the Hat factory on the
alleged 'online' purchases system. I have just sent them a
'gentle' reminder that we need this information soon and
as when that happens, we shall post up the info here..
Besides that...............
The Party is looking good!!

Dreg Greg's B + B Guide!!
Greg 'Dreg' has trawled the Hat Factory neighbourhood
for overnight accomodation, better known as B + B's!
Astonishingly, he found 3 establishments within 100 metres
of the venue!
For those who may be travelling from out of town and are
concerned about having a good drink without worrying
about driving back intoxicated or just want to relax at the
party, knowing they have a safe bed for the night, here is
what he found:-
THE WHEELWRIGHTS ARM'S
34 Guildford Street
Tel: 01582 759321
£50.00 Double room (2 single beds)
inc. Evening meal or Breakfast
THE GEORGE II
70 Bute Street (Opposite the Hat Factory)
Tel 01582 ....hmmm! (I will get back to you on this!)
£25.00 single £30.00 Double room
inc. Breakfast
LA TRATTORIA
66 Bute Street (Opposite the Hat Factory)
Tel 01582 410291
£25.00 single £40.00 Double room
There is also what used to be known as the Shannon Hotel
(next door but one to the Hat factory) but that has changed
it's name & I can not recall it atm! But that is more expensive,
(probably more like a traditional hotel!)
For those multi millionare ex-punky types there is the Strathmore
Hotel 200 metres away lol
You will have to phone up these establishments and work out the
finer details for yourselves though!
Anyway nice one Greg!

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. this is phil using Bones profile. mine siezed up and went rusty .
Hello u people is this connection liiiiiiiiiiiiive. lu7 posse from days of old- u there? iiiiiiii remember hoping to get back in touch via this site but have nt
been on here myself for couple years. will have a mosey around the site. last time i was here there seemed to be some kind of flaming kicking offfff on one of the threads, as is the tradition. lets hope the spirit of punk amounts to more than parochial disputes( chris/bone has a dictionary( and takes no responsibility for any long words-chris)). bone reminds me that his first band was called Certified Insane. As fate , or fragmented will, would have it , quite a few people I know have been. Chris is telling me about his idea for symbiotic geek monkeys while i rite thys. |
