I have to agree, that was a pretty damned good night - venue kind of reminded me of watching the Statics and Resistors at 33 all those years ago (except there was a bar this time!) Thought Blink's band were great and hope to see them again sometime soon. JC Supercharger also pretty good, UKDK T Shirt and Bermuda's next time I think.
Great to see so many old faces - Pipe, Phil K, Greg, Russ and BADGER although it strikes me that there are still a few more to dig up for next time.
Spon, Greg - thank you very much for organising that. Suffice to say your hard work paid off spectacularly.
Roll on next time - my money's on a Statics reunion in the summer! Somebody go find Eric!
GM
PS - Pipe, get me a copy of your video. _________________ NO GDM |

FOUND!....one knitted Top Hat!
A greenish patterned hand knitted hat has been found, following
last saturday's party!
Similar in design to a Top Hat.
If you or someone you know, lost this last at last weeks event
please email
werewolf@ukdecay.co.uk
Hopefully we can 'reunite' this hat with it's owner.
Thanks

Is there any chance of seeing (or even better-downloading) some video clips from the event?
Greetings from Yugoslavia! |

Hugh Byrne: Artist in residence at the UKDK Com event!
The Event had it's own 'Artist in Residence', Hugh Byrne. Hugh works with
photo-montage techniques using photoshop to place people and events into
fantastic dreamscapes.
The following images were either created on the evening of the event or on
the days imediately following.

Lost hat re-united!

It was that hat!
pic kindly supplied by Bonzi
This Hat has now been re-united with it's flabergasted owner, who had
only just come to terms with the fact that his pride and glory was lost
forever!
Apparently, the hat was hand knitted by a relative in Ozzie! Shortly after
the above photo was taken, with a sharp flick of the head the hat flew off,
as it turned out into a dark corner and was picked up by cleaners the
following day.
I have forgotton the name of the owner, but he was at The Coven last
saturday, where Jane the barmaid who remembered him, reunited
said hat and thankfull owner!
It was a great night at last saturdays Coven btw, there seems an uplift
in numbers and excitement, its a real shame that things have to stop
at 1.30pm at the Hat Factory just when the pot comes to the boil!!
It is a licensing technicality which i am assured is under consideration.
A former Stevenage gentlepunk who was there presented us a batch of
photos from his collection, we will get them scanned and posted up asap.
There are some really good and interesting pics to look forward to there!

It is to do with the person who grants the license apparently hating anything to do with thF from a previous employment position.
According to sources The Coven will never be granted a late license, so you can appreciate that we are always on the look-out for an alternative venue.
Finishing the clubnight at 1.30am is basically a joke, especially when you consider the pub across also shuts at the same time.
I've never encountered such an unhelpful venue!
Still, the foyer is apparently re-open, so we thank God for that little miracle. That's only taken 3 months to get sorted! |
