I know my memory plays tricks on me but I'm sure lyndsey and I took the LU7 punks up farley hill to keep them out of more trouble. I have photos of Ian, mad dave and more in martin's garden. His mum weren't too impressed when about 10 or more of us walked through his house. He told her he just invited a few mates round for tea! |

Actually, my memory (and it may be a bit vague - it was my 19th birthday, after all) is that we (the OMM) came mob-handed on a bus and once things got under way, a crowd of Luton footie boys turned up and steamed in... this was the first time I'd ever seen "casuals" with their silly wedge haircuts and burgundy pringles (and I was/am a regular football-goer).
It was kicking off everywhere and I noticed Jeff (one of the twins) having a row with 3 of them round the side of the stage - he was doing ok on his own but I chipped in to help. Bad timing! The old bill turned up and nicked me and 2 of the Luton boys.
As far as I remember, Dottie, I was the only Oxford boy to get nicked. It was a shame, too, cos I'd gotten a nosh from some punk bird beforehand in the carpark and I was hoping to see more of her later.
Anyway, when I got let out, I found Peanut and a couple of others in a nearby pub, but so did the lads I had got nicked with and a load of their mates and they gave me a right old shooeing inside and outside the pub with half-pool cues!
At least it got me a charity shag from one of the Oxford girls (no names).
3 birthdays running that was I got arrested but I think I was ok on my 20th! |

well, well, well my old droog, how goes. have not heard from you for simply a whole age.
thats the thing with people talking about an event, one has memories that are deeply hidden and need a nudge to be released.
that pub where you got a beating had an outside pig roast or something similar going on. me and duncan were there, p'nut, and others a bit vague here....jobie?, peewee?, dont think mick or jeff were there. after all by this time i was very, very drunk.
dont know where we stayed, as i think we caught the bus back home the following day.
what did you get for the fracas in the end.....community service |
