Footage of Moonlight

Footage of the bands recent appearance at the Moonlight Festival has
been a tad 'thin on the ground' so far! There are a few official looking
Moonlight shots, which are heavily watermarked! But we know there
were loads of camera's pointed at the band. So we shall just have to be
patient!

Day trip to Italy!

The band felt very happy with their performance, the audiance was
great and the technical stuff and staff were really good. It was a real
shame however the band and crew couldn't hang around and enjoy
the aftershow. As soon as everyone was packed up and van loaded, it
was time to leave for the airport.
Flights to Rimini turned out to be very difficuilt to book over the bank
holliday weekend. So it was a case of leaving at 5am on the morning of
the gig in order to get a London flight at 7.10am arriving at Bologna at
11.30am (local time) - It took an hour to sort out Abbo's 'lost baggage'
- his guitar!!.
Then an hour and a half drive to the venue, for the soundcheck.
Things were running a little behind at the venue, so it was another hour
or so wait before they were ready to soundcheck.

Soundcheck done by 5pm, arrive at Hotel at 5.45pm, booked in.
Then we had just over 3 hours to shower and maybe a quick nap -
whatever.
Booked out of Hotel by 9.15pm - that has to be the shortest stay in digs
ever! Then we were driven 10 minutes up the road to a kind of Hard
Rock cafe place in San Marino of all places - for a cooked vegetable Chilli.
An hour and half later, 40 mins or so before the band were due to
perform, we returned to the venue.
There was a good sized crowd in the warehouse like venue by a
retangular lake and it was a warm evening, so folk were spilling out
to the outside surrounding area. There was a market to one side, selling
all kinds of clothes, CD's Italian hotdogs etc etc.
Sadly there wasn't time to enjoy and fully appreciate the other bands
performances. Rosa Crux show looked very interesting with gigantic
mechanical bell structures, projections, naked lady's miming/dancing
in mud and powder. The few moments we witnessed from Go Flamingo
looked and sounded great.
Somewhere around 1.15am UK Decay took the stage for an hour and
a quarter show. Decay opened with a very special 'Unexpected Guest'!
There were 3 new songs played and the rest of the set was a selection
of UK Decay 'standards'. At around 2.30am, band leave the stage to
the dying echoes of For My Country. By 3 am everything repacked.
Time for a very quick drink at the bar and chat to some of the cheerfull
festival-goers.
There were two rooms of partying going on with post-punk in one
and harder industrial in tother..a really great vibe going on! It would
have been great to 'let ones hair down' but we literally had to cut back
to the van for the hour and a half drive back to Bologna in time for
the early morning flight back - which departed at 7.05am! No time
for the second drink!!
8.30am - arrive back in London. 11.30am, arrive back at home!
(30 hours after we left!)
What a day! What a night!
