Can anyone recomend a 'VST instrument' drum machine?

As I really don't like the LM7 sounds at all.

One is what you are trying, Devices - VST instruments will show the instruments window with a lot of slots. Click on one of the slots and a list with all your instuments will appear (currently, the ones included in Cubase and AD's demo). You can select a different instrument for each slot and midi and audio tracks will be created for each instrument.

The other way is creating a new Instruments Track from the Project menu, or right clicking on the white area in the project (this type of track combines audio and midi track in one). A little window will show. Click on it and the instruments list will appear.

Thanks
