Some of these shots where taken in Leighton Buzzard Where 'The
Condemned' played with 'Chronic Outburst'. The flyers for this gig
will be posted up in the next few days

Condemned Tantra Bedford punks flyers, poster's etc

A batch of 18 posters and flyers of 'The Condemned' gigs is now
posted up in the gallery!
Part of the 'humongous' collection sent in from the Bedford crew
with of course, many thanks!
Also as you view these unique images you will notice many refferences
to other eminent Home county punk scene bands such as Leighton Buzzard's
Chronic Outbursts, Luton's 'Urban Warfare', 'Karma Sutra' etc.
These images have an authentic vintage 'DIY-Punk' feel to them, created
before the days of the internet and desktop publishing etc.
Lettraset used to cost a fortune and you would always run out of letters
in the middle of the night so invariably one would end up improvising.
I guess previous to the Internet and the key to all the artwork you are
about to view is that these and most of the DIY Punk culture artwork
from the late 70's early 80's, is driven by the photocopier!
The Photocopier is actually the unsung hero of the Punk age!

Included with the collection of flyers advertising 'The Condemned' gigs
are some of their 'philosaphical punk artwork' based hand outs.
Kind off mini fanzines, handed out at gigs, these contained original
and compo artwork, without realising it a kind of prototype building for
the contemporary world wide web!

It's a privelage to see them included in this growing home counties
punk archive, well I guess thats what we are becoming!
