Yes Yes YES ! All UK Decay stuff must get a cd release, it still sounds sooo good, unlike my records which are wearing out fast. I understand Cherry Red were looking into gaining a release, but were denied a license or something. Can't understand why

Maybe someone else can shed some light.... Confused

Of course I'd love to be able to get uk decay on cd
BUT I'd like Very Happy to see 1) a total uk decay compilation - all album and single and other stuff
2) a furyo, slavedrive compilation of the album and compilation tracks etc like the stuffff off the whip ep. (? i think - it was a long time ago!)

well a uk decay compilation is a great idea , but it sure wouldn't all fit onto one cd. i guess this forthcoming release may answer a few of your questions ? Smile

regarding furyo , i think that's far less likely to happen. abbo has never seemed all that interested and it probably needs his involvement. there's probably not enough "official" stuff (just the 2 EP's and a couple of compilation tracks) to justify a CD , but there's a load of unreleased stuff (like a whole LP for starters) you could add to it to make a really good release. but i'd be very sceptical as to whether this would happen. i guess cherry red own the tapes , maybe we should badger them? p

In the wake of all the other old punk bands getting their stuff reissued on CD I've been hoping for a long time that the UK Decay recordings would also be released.
The bands recordings really do deserve to be released on CD and I'd also love to see the Furyo stuff released as well - I thought their stuff was superb and highly original - I'd especially like to hear the unreleased album tracks.
My money is ready and waiting.
