It all go's off at the Luton carnival!

Luton, May 1982
By popular request here is a short sequence decoded from the
'UK Decay at Luton Carnival' video of 1982.

Today's binge drinking had nothing on this!

The 1 minute clip shows the moment when 'football hooligans'
descended into the crowd, with fists and chairs flying!
What a lovely punch there by the late Dave Barr showing of his
boxing credentials!
Then the old bill jump in drag off a couple of the troublemakers
and the band kick in with 'Stagestruck'.
For now that's where it ends but we shall put up some more moments
from this legendary 'Decay' video in the future.
Definately not for the faint hearted!

Hi band
Lo band

We are trying to track down the mastertape to this video which is
a historical 'snapshot' of 'Decay' at the carnival it turned out to be
one of the last gigs the band played in their hometown.
The real stars are the fans however, the people in the audience. The
determination to have a good time regardless of all the trouble. Many
reading this will have been present on the day and may even get an
occassional amusing glimpse of themselve's!

If there is enough demand we will put som more clips up soon.

More Clips!??

It has proven unbelievably difficult to extract clips from the
DVD! After a couple hours of frustrating rendering, the 5 minute
clip is playing out of sync!

Here is a question...."Does anyone know of any software that is
cheap enough to purchase, or preferably free! that is easy and quick
to use; that converts DVD's or small selections of DVD's, to broadcast able
'Real Media' web files that stay in sync?"

I have had some software in the past that has done the job, albeit with
a considerable amount of messing about, but can no longer remember
or find what it was! I think it may have been a trial version of something
or other that has long vanished of the system.

Anyway the UK Decay at Luton Carnival video will be shown on a
large screen at the up and coming, UK DK COM “Class of 1979 – 1989
Reunion"
in January, along with loads of other 'Decay' related footage!

Any suggestions or help on the earlier matter of file conversion would
be really appreciated!
