The word is 'The Well' is shut!
'The Pokers' will now be playing at The Cork and Bull in Luton on on the corner of Park Street and Cumberland Street.
The Cork and Bull was formally known as the Grapevine.

Good to see everyone at the 'Pokers Gig'
Well, what a turn out!
So many faces, so long no see!
After the last minute change of venue, how good it was to see
so many from the 1980's Luton Punk scene.
At the 'former' Grapevine rather ironic!
If I try and attempt to name everyone who turned up here, I would
be here all night typing it in.
However 'The Pokers' turned in a magnificent set that kept the
'Nostalgic- spirit' of the occasion running nicelly
Many thanks to the 'Pokers' for making this possible!
There was many 'updating' of phone numbers and a promise that
there would be further 'Re-union' events of this kind. The 'Pokers'
will have to play in Luton more often!
Anyway hope you got home alright 'Bugsy!'
and everyone else got home ok
Much respect to everybody who attended last nights event
and hopefully there will be more events like this, that will bring
'The Old Community' back together again.
Heres one 'Werewolf' slightly addled, signing off with a big smile on its face!
its was good seeing some of this websites community in 'the Flesh'

| rolled into bed at 3 oclock this morning,6 oclock my alarm. went off went to work with the mother of all hangovers was it worth it?? YOU BET IT WAS ..i've been grinning like a cheshire cat all day..what a night i had last night so many old faces some that i've not seen in over 20 years ..just like to give a big thanks to werewolf and daize for all the promoting and running around like blue arsed flies..and andy for putting the gig on and finding another venue..and a big big thanx to everyone that showed up it made my night..now for the bad news we/ve been invited back, so dig out your ear plugs love on ya ...blink poker |
