To PRJ's IN Excelsis scrapbook

PRJ's In Excelsis scrapbook Slideshow

Many thanks to Paulrabjohn whom has presented his latest episode
of his scrapbook, this time featuring In Excelsis.
In it are features by Richard North, Steve Keaton and Mr Spencer.
not sure what 'rags' the second 2 are from but Steve Keaton's article
appeared in 'Sounds' December 31st 1983.
Also Paul has digitised a number of In Excelsis rehearsal etc tapes
which Spon had turned up in his collection. There are some interesting
moments within these audio archives and we shall be presenting some
of the finer moments on 'Streem' in the near future..
So watch this space!

hopefully these were of some interest , not a huge haul but the interviews especially are pretty interesting. the steve keaton piece is also from sounds (that was the paper i used to buy every week early to late 80's). i guess the richard north piece is probably from the NME (it was him who wrote the "legendary" positive punk cover story for the NME around that time so i guess he wouldn't have written for anyone else).

i will do a similar thing with furyo in a few weeks , i think i've got a few bits and pieces from similar sources. there's probably better stuff in fanzines , but i kept them whole rather than chopping them up so i can't quickly locate it all. maybe it's more fun to drip feed it anyway.......p

Nice one Paul

Definately! it was really interesting reading through some
of those interviews! Will definately look forward to seeing the
Furyo stuff.
Another member has recently promised to contribute a recent
found copy of the 'Thank You' fanzine with some interesting articles
from the Luton/area scene/bands, including a review of the Gig
UK DK did with the Cockney Rejects in Northampton.
And also we shall get round to scanning 2 LU7 fanzine's and posting
them up in the gallery later in the month or early febuary.

Getting back to In Excelsis, we shall be adding some songs to the
streaming pages soon, please watch this space for further details...

Thanks again PRJ
(& of course to all that have contributed both in the past & in the future!)

W.W.
