"In April and July 1982, we did two shows at the Zig Zag club and Danse
Society, Sex Gang Children and Southern Death Cult supported us.
Tribes of punks with a new look of exaggerated haircuts, make-up and
dark dress descended upon the Kensal Town venue. They were the first
major London shows that we headlined and that had allowed us to choose
our own like-minded bands to guest with us......"

"I think we did play our part in creating the new template. We had shown
by example how to achieve goals on your own terms, without selling
out. Expression, Individualism, Do it Yourself, Optimism, Voyeurism,
Drama, fascinations with the dark side and a host of other new
possibilities and aspects suddenly entered the punk realm.
Punk got very exciting again!"
