DK at Wave Gotik Treffen Festival!

UK Decay literally brought the storm to this years Gotik Treffen Festival (WGT)
in Leipzip Germany.
They were on stage at 9.15pm on Monday June 1st 2009.

As the Growling of Werewolf echoed about the park, the storm clouds
were gathering. Within minutes the heavens opened and DK battled
with the elements. The heavy rain, flattened many a mohawk unlucky
enough to be without an umbrella. Others dived for shelter round the
covered edge's of the Parkbuhne amphitheater. But the DK beast roared
on relentlessly as did the majority of the crowd until eventually, the rain
stopped. By which time it had suitably darkened hence, the light show
took on new dimension with mr Urry's guidance.
The Duel between DK and the elements took battle with Dresden (near to
Leipzig) as the anthem gained in spirit to celebration with Unwind.
Then a sense of twisted feedback as the Unexpected Guest made
it's presence felt amongst the Parkbuhne WG Treffeners.
Already 12 minutes past the noise curfew, Abbo announced there would
be no time for an encore; then shouted For-My-Country!
Dk rolled out a spirited and fast rendition of the old shanty, then left
the stage to a roar of applause. After some minutes and despite the noise
curfew and earlier rain; UK Decay last band at WGT Parkbuhne 2009,
once more took the stage.
The tuplet of Jerusalem Over (The White Cliffs Of Dover) and Rising From
The Dead
, echoed through the night, as the by now Shattered WG Treffeners,
made their ways home.

The set was accompanied by a light show, a unique combination
of the raw sounds and atmosphere to celebrate the bands first show in
Germany in 27 years.

Below are some fantastic live shots taken by Jim the Luton fan and Steve Finn.
Many thanks guys, for contributing these.
