UK Decay @ MySpace !!
UK Decay Communities have now opened a page at ‘MySpace.com’
The Address is
www.myspace.com/ukdecay
The page has been online since the end of November 2005 on the
website that exploded upon the music scene in recent months.
The page was initially registered so as to secure the online address
and to link interested surfers back to UK Decay Communities, but
as time went by more and more ‘friends’ have added to themselves
to the thread the first months tally has been 190 new friends! Some
of which have added some really interesting comments.
The interesting thing about the MySpace network is that is has seemed
to have become a ‘global meeting place’ for bands and artists that have
existed since the 60’s, a central place where most bands can be found
alive and well even if they split up 3 decades ago!
That is just the Music side, there is also a general/fans side whereby
individuals can post up their ‘cool’ web-pages and hopefully get ‘Added to’
their favourite band pages.
Artwork and music seem to be the key thing that has taken off in a big
way with the allowing of users to insert their own HTML (made easier by
3rd party editors) the MySpace system also allows users to upload up to
4 of their own tracks which will play back in a customised player.
MySpace has the feel of a ‘ground-up’ system built and designed by a
fella by the name of ‘Tom’ who is constantly tinkering with the system
that at times ‘groans’ from the shear usage of up to 46 million users
world wide.
The UK Decay @ MySpace page is still officially ‘under construction’
and anyone who goes there who wants to read deeper will get linked
back to the main ‘ukdecay.co.uk’ home or relevant pages.
Already there has been a request for an interview from a New York
magazine and there have been some communications with some of
our regular forum members that are already there!
Depending on the MySpace 'friends' colour-scheme, UK Decay @
MySpace have been leaving these 'Thanks for the Add' cards below..
The full colour version
The Monochrome version
The blood version
For those that may already have a 'MySpace' account click below
to 'add yourself'
