"UK Decay, a band from Luton in the late seventies were one of the first bands to cross over from Punk to what was becoming known as Gothic music. They laid the path for such bands as Sisters of Mercy, The Cult etc who were to follow in the genre."

Hmm! came across this Luton based website; interesting!
