What is it that makes people like 'DARK' things?
What is the fascination of things 'Dark'?

When I listened to the first 'Joy Division' album ( sorry can't remember the name at this time of the night!) it sent an 'unnerving' shiver through me and it wasn't long after this that we heard the dreadfull news of the Tragic death of Ian Curtis ( the vocalist ). When listening to the album again after this event it became obvious the lyrics, were nothing other than a 'suicide note'!

I still occasionally listen to this album from time to time and it still makes me prickle! It relishes in 'Gloom!' , however I always feel 'uplifted' by the experience!

What is it that makes us cherish 'Gloomy' moments?

If you ever get a chance, Go search, buy/find a copy of say 'Atmospheres' ( the last, I think, single by 'Joy Division') and tell me it doesnt 'move'' you!

No you cretin, he doesn't mean that. There are cheap thrills, and there are things which act like connections to your heart, mind and soul. Music and Art that reflects Death and Mortality focusses you, subconsciously, on what is good abou Life and Living.
