take a look
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4708345203&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
i had a nibble but sadly the rabjohn piggy bank did not quite run to $47+ to win this pretty lovely looking item. i'd love to know if this has the same tracks as the UK one , somebody told me once that this also had the "furioso" tracks on it. might send the winner a mail and ask him what's on it...........p |

i mailled the seller and he responded as follows ;
Before I ship it, I just let you know song track of this LP. SIDE 1: 1. CAVALCADE 2. THE GOLF OF OUR LIVES 3. THE KING OF HEARTS 4. LEGACY 5. CHOIR SIDE 2: 1. IN THE ARENA 2. VULTURES 3. MONSTER OF A THOUSAND HEADS 4. THE OPERA IN THE AIR
so there you go , all the officially released stuff on one album. shame i couldn't afford it

Furyo Japan
That reminds me that there once was a rumour at one point in time
that FURYO were about to embark on a tour of Japan
I dont know what was behind that rumour but I am pretty sure it never
happened.
I wonder how many copies of the Japanese album were released,
does anybody know?
On another point; I noticed that there are a few broken links on the
Furyo page (and In Excelsis) probably a legacy of the 'black april' event.
Will get on to that as soon as! with perhaps anything else that needs
updating on those pages!

so were furyo "big in japan" ? hmmm , seems unlikely but stranger things have happened. never heard mention of a furyo japanese tour but i suppose it might have happened , nobody in the band has really talked about what went on ever since they split. maybe eddie might be forthcoming?
i've seen 2 of these albums on ebay ever , which suggests they're pretty rare. its on the same label as the japanese "for madmen only" release (VAP). wonder how this works ; did uk decay "sign" for a japanese label? sounds unlikely , so i suspect the uk label licensed it out to them. there's also a portuguese "for my country" , funny how there aren't any releases in countries they played (USA , france , holland , germany) and were presumably fairly big , but there's records released in places like portugal and japan where you'd have thought nobody would have heard of the band.
i suspect its a dumb question to ask if the band got paid for this kind of thing.
well i shall carry on looking for this furyo album , i suspect the number of people willing to pay stupid money is limited and my time will come. hopefully.
