I've been toying with the idea of doing a Luton punk group family tree.
I vaguely remember Jets, UK Decay, Pneumania, Friction, Cinematics, Statics, Paranoia, Traitors, Five Year Plan, Acme Attractions, Vegetables, Clips, Click Click. Please send me all the details you can remember: line ups, dates, releases, etc to rogerholdstock@hotmail.com every snippet is welcome! |

Familly tree
Brilliant Idea! straight up Chris Frames street!!
Can't stress how good this would be!
Are you thinking of putting it online? or is that your intentions anyway?
if you need some webspace to publish it then we would be more than happy to host it here! or we will 'Link' to it!!
Please let us know your thoughts!
Where would you start? the first Luton Punk band that i recall is the 'Jets' appearing on 'Live at the Roxy' ( one of the first ever 'Punk Compilations-they had one track on it, cant remmeber what it was called!)
Come on everybody-lets rattle those memory cells and give 'Roger' some feedback on this!!

jesus you are going to get into some dodgy territory with this family tree.
just think. spon was in in excelsis with ex-ritual guys
the guitarist of ritual was in the cult with ian astbury
billy duffy of the cult was in ed banger and the nosebleeds with morrissey
ian astbury then joined the doors , with stewart copeland on drums
stuart copeland used to be in the police , with arch wanker sting
jim morrison was once in the doors , but he's pretty dead by now
so without too much thought i've linked spon , morrissey , sting and jim morrison. where the hell is this going to end up......

Quite amazing to think of all the bands that have connections with luton, I suppose Luton is a very musical town with lots of different influences from different cultures. |
